From Lei-Making to Hula, Guests and Locals Invited to Celebrate Hawaiʻi’s Living Culture
Cultural event at Ko Olina’s Ulua Lagoon Lawn and Lauhala Weaving at Four Seasons Resort Oʻahu at Ko Olina
KO OLINA, OʻAHU, HAWAIʻI (September 3, 2025) — This September, Ko Olina Resort will participate in the renowned Aloha Festivals 2025, inviting guests and the broader West Oʻahu community to experience authentic Hawaiian culture through a vibrant week of public events. From September 7–13, resort properties will host a variety of cultural programs, culminating in a free celebration on Saturday, September 13 featuring entertainment and an appearance by the Aloha Festivals Royal Court.
Established in the tradition of Makahiki—a centuries‑old Hawaiian harvest festival—the Aloha Festivals showcase the spirit of aloha through ceremonial pageantry, music, dance, food, and community gatherings. The 2025 theme, Ko Kula Uka, Ko Kula Kai (“Those of the Upland, Those of the Shore”), honors the deep connection between Hawai‘i’s inland and coastal communities and celebrates the foodways and contributions of farmers, fishermen, and home cooks across the islands.
